Spanish 301: Spanish Conversation and Composition

Course Description: This course focuses on the continued development of the student's command of the Spanish language and his understanding of the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world, with an emphasis on speaking and writing. Students gain competence in writing and speaking and read selections of both Spanish and Spanish American fiction and nonfiction.

Project Description: Students will be assigned a former Wabash student or faculty member who is Hispanic or Latino for whom they will compile information throughout the semester. For this project, students will collaborate with Nolan Eller and Evan Miller, the archivists at the Robert T. Ramsay Jr. Archival Center in the Wabash Lilly Library. Below are the assignments that will help students build biographical profiles for the assigned individual on whom they will focus the efforts of their project. This information will help our class create a database which will share with the Archives to preserve the history of Hispanic and Latino students and faculty. ***As this is part of a bigger project, some student-produced materials could end up in the Wabash Archives. As such, the submissions should be of the highest quality.
